Hilton Garden Inn Troy, Troy

The hotel has a great location near restaurants and is clean and cozy. The service is top-notch, making shuttle arrangements hassle-free. However, the high crime area was a surprise after check-in.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious room provided by the hotel. Kudos to the staff for having a rollaway bed and extra linens, as well as sundry items readily available in the room upon our arrival. However, finding my way to the room was a bit tricky, yet once there, I found a spotless and well-prepared space.

My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms were very nice size, clean, modern, and comfortable, but unfortunately, my room was plagued with a sucked in grease smell and food cooking due to its proximity above the Recovery Room. The service provided was wonderful, although at times, the staff seemed more focused on chattering amongst themselves rather than the customers. The location, though helpful for conducting business in the Troy area, was marred by being in a high crime area, which I was not aware of until after check-in. The dining options were convenient, fast, with good service, although the menu lacked variety beyond eggs and bacon. The facilities were satisfactory.
